Vocal Tract

This image was created as a locator image for a Scientific American article titled, “The Human Instrument”. The goal was to offer an inside look at human vocal tract anatomy and the various areas associated with sound (mouth, oropharynx, esophagus, trachea, epiglottis, vocal chords). Additional iterations of the illustration featured highlighted chambers relevant to each section of the article.
